For me, working in and with art is about active engagement and I particularly like working with materials from nature. I am intrigued by and create within a wide range of figurative and abstract art. Sculpture using wire and/or stone is a favorite creative process. My art is influenced by both contemporary and ancient artists.

I have been a self-directed learner as an artist and work with many media, usually one at a time. Drawing underlies most of my work, including sculpture. 

During my jewelry & wire-wrapping workshops, I will show you how to use drawing to help build reference materials for your own creations.

Since mid-2021 I have been retired from my formal vocation as a Medical Imaging Professor, Associate Dean and IT administrator at the College of Allied Health, OU Health Sciences Center. I remain an educator and a learner. I love to teach and talk about art, sculpture, original prayer beads & jewelry techniques.
